Please vote - Im only interested in VW parts :)
I think I've got the x2 main versions in the poll but let me know if I missed any
-
Pretoria.
Is this GTi only or just any genuine VW wheel?
-
Prets every time!
-
Loved my Santiagos but what a PITA to keep clean. Current Reifnitz not only look good but still look okay despite not having been washed since September!
-
Placed my vote, but I'm biased, think these suit the car well though.

Loved my Santiago’s but Pretoria’s for me.

Best 19" alloys for me are the Pretoria, I actually prefer how they look to my current alloys but if you want the best genuine OEM alloys, look no further...

I have Brescia and I really like them, they look amazing when clean, BUT...
a) I wish they weren't asymmetrical - the Santiagos aren't, but I do still prefer the Brescia... strange one
b) I wish they weren't diamond cut

My 2 pence worth;
- Pretoria - best for looks, but based on some forum members’ experiences they seem to be quite susceptible to damage from potholes, raised drain covers etc., and they’re very expensive to replace!
- Best all rounders - Reifnitz.
- Ones I would avoid - anything diamond cut; poor durability and susceptible to white worm, easily damaged by tyre fitters, more expensive to refurbish than non-diamond cut and can’t usually be refurbished more two times maximum.
Just my opinion though .

You are right, they do look the best  but from personal experience…just fiiiine  no damage so far and hit a few potholes

Lots of chatter about them buckling over the life of the mk7.. Its definitely not unusual.
-
I wish my santiagos where easier to clean and didn't white worm.
The belvedere's are my favourites if only they were 19's
Prets for an all rounder

Missing something?
Hahaha, yes and no. The locking wheel nuts are aftermarket and the OEM wheel nut covers don't fit the lockers.

This was the reason I never went with Prets but like I said, I do prefer them to to my Belvedere's.
-
Prets are great, easy to clean , look very smart... But i had them on my previous R and found cracks in 3 of them

Of the two choices in the poll I’d go for Brescias as they are much easier to clean and can be picked up new from VW with tyres as a set quite easily.
If buying a set second hand they look good powder coated grey if white-worm has taken hold.
If it were my money I’d get the T-Roc Pretorias for a whole bunch of reasons.

Why T Roc?

T-Roc R or Passat Pretoria 19’s: better offset, better colour, cheaper than Golf R/TCR Prets...
By better I mean they look OEM still but don’t look like you’re trying to be a Golf R wannabe.
They are attractive in their own right. And personally I much prefer the offset.
Not a change I’d recommend if the car already had Golf Prets !!
-
Now I've had a taste of lightweight wheels I'll always buy on how heavy they are first then on how they look.
The difference in ride quality between the Belvedere and the Austin is night and day.

There’s one not far from my house, I did a massive double take when I first saw it! It’s a very dark grey one that looked black from the distance. Wasn’t until I saw the tailpipe trims I knew for sure.
