First time using a DSLR

Used my cousins DSLR, had a play with it and got used to the settings.

Lacks a focal point - should have bared the head of the front flower to draw the eyes.

Love the composition and the colour but agree with DH - where are you focussing? Looks like on the petals. I'd have focussed on the stamen and perhaps shot from a slightly higher angle.

Thanks for the advice guys, yes the focus was on the petals.. I only took one shot has didn't have much time. Will take the advice into account next time
