Toyota Starlet Glanza V
« on: 16 March 2012, 16:04 »
Well some know me on here.. I bought this back in November time i think and i love it but i wish it had a german interior big time the squeeks and rattles annoy my passengers like hell but im used to it

Its a 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V 1.3 Turbo

Spec list so far -

walbro 225lph pump
ported exhaust manifold as standard has restriction
FMIC
blitz electronic boost controller
HKS turbo timer
HKS exhaust
HKS Air filter
HKS Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
HKS Fuel cut defender (non mappable ecu so cuts fuel anything over standard boost)
HKS speed delimiter not sure.. (standard limited to 112mph if people dont know jap cars)
HKS Adjustable actuator
Decat
Blitz DV
Exedy standard replacement clutch
Has a LSD box as a optional extra from factors
TRD Racing Leads
3 point rear strut brace as optional extra from factory
2 point front upper strut brace
RS-R 40mm lowering springs which are nice and firm which is good
2 bucket seats welded to standard rails (will be getting some proper seats end of summer)
OZ alloys wrapped in Toyo Proxes T1R's at the moment

Currently pushing about 180bhp (last dynoed 176 before pump and regulator) from my little 1.3 and theres more to come.. Hybrid turbos brand new are only £450 and capable of about 220bhp..

There will be more to come throughout the summer.. Just getting the car up to scratch at the mo as it needs a few bits and bobs to make me happy..

Yer your right they are pocket rockets and surprise a lot of people to be honest.. i raced a new leon cupra R up to 3rd gear and he couldnt pull on me and then pulled up at the lights and asked me what it was i told him a 1.3 turbo and he was like yer but mines standard.. i just smiled and drove off lol he compared his standard £25k car to my £3k modified car lol
