either use apc neat if they are manky or diluted apc if they are not too bad, spray or dab it on with a microfibre and let it sit for a while then re-apply and agitate by rubbing with mf or a toothbrush if needed, re-peat this process until your happy all the craps off then rinse well allow to dry then dress with a small amount of tyre dressing and work it into the rubber removing any excess.

if your carefull you can adapt the same process but use tfr which will be more effective on crappy neglected rubbers. but caution must be taken when using tfr's

I'm the same as Dan, though I use autosmart products. I use Autosmart G101 at a very weak dilution and I actually use a window glass cloth (mint merkin) to agitate. I then treat with autosmart finish (neat).

GTI mk6, 3dr Manual (Yes Manual! If I wanted a Taxi I'd hail one, not spend £1500 on one), Candy White, Full Leather, Xenons, ACC, 18", RCD510 + Dynaudio, DAB Radio, Winter Pack, Luxury Pack, Fiscon Bluetooth Plus, Golf R LED's.

i have found, once cleaned using an APC, that the use of 303 aerospace protectant is very good!

g101(apc) is what i use kev but i was generalising by putting apc as most people cant get g101 due to not being in the trade etc

i find finish, although a very good product, is a bit too 'silicony' and use it only on door shuts, under the bonnet and lower trim and arches... will give it a go on window rubbers but can see it getting on glass etc and being a PITA

it is a pain when it gets on the glass so i didnt carry on down that route a long time ago. its great as an engine dressing but not much else tbh
