I can't see the point of dynaudio as the standard set up is just fine
It really isn't just fine... but if your ears can't hear the difference why would you spec it...
and the nav pro is not less functional than a tom tom
As a sat nav unit it is... and even if it is not... for the price they want to charge you it should be five or six time more functional

Already knowing the difference between a good just fine sound and an expensive option that's not really needed in a car I'd much rather spec something else.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

So it's ordered. I decided on white in the end

3door GTD DSG
Discover navigation
Dynaudio
Vienna leather
Heated screen
Sport and sound pack
Reverse camera

Current car is due for renewal in March so expect this to be delivered end of March or 1st week in April

Very excited and looking forward to it.

Sounds a good spec to me David. You'll be well chuffed with that.

Now all you have to endure is the dreaded wait while you daily (sometimes more often) click on the tracker to see where its got to...

Tell me about it. Even made worse as I'm in a pool car currently.

Volvo V50

Will mean I enjoy it even more when the day comes.

I would ditch the advanced phone prep (if they'll let you with the heated screen)... it adds nothing...

If you'd specced the nav pro then when car net is made available it should work as you have the advanced tel prep. This is what the master tech told me from my local vw dealer.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

I call BS on that one.

You need "premium" phone prep in Germany to get CarNet... and a subscription to CarNet.

Its very unlikely with today's cars we will ever see it in the UK. Not until the nextgen infotainment/nav systems are launched (Mk8 golf I suspect)

Its free for the first 3 years on VW e-vehicles.
I always thought it was the equivalent of Audis connect service?
My Mrs has that and while it has a couple of decent features, I certainly wouldn't pay for it considering to access it the equipment on the car cost nearly £2000 in itself.
