Clutch upgrade
« on: 24 June 2019, 18:18 »
Hi,recently bought a mk6 gti and think the car has been remapped as the clutch has slight slip in higher gears when coming on boost, was wondering what people have upgraded to in the clutch department as I don’t know what to go for?

Bit of a late response....

I went for the Sachs SRE organic clutch. Up to 400lb.ft capacity. Car is Revo stage 1.
The first 150miles was extremely stiff on the pedal , and there was the expected shudder when moving off and reversing.
After 200miles the clutch went almost back to OEM weight, a bit heavier but a lot easier to use. Shudder still there but not as bad.

Gear changes on full boost are now really good! It keeps the power on all the way to the red line if you want. You just need to be mindful of what the tyres can cope with!
I'm happy with the clutch upgrade, definitely.
