Title: Washer pump not working
Post by: Craig McArthur on 16 November 2018, 11:53
Hi All, after a few days with (I assumed) no water from windscreen washer pump I topped up yesterday to find that it was almost full.  Tried to squirt the windscreen without the engine running, and could hear no pump noise, so I assumed (hoped) a fuse had gone, but have had no luck tracking down the location of the washer pump fuse.

Could anyone advise please?

I also noticed that when pulling the stalk towards me to squirt got different results from the wipers. Sometimes they would do 2 wipes, then 3 on the next pull, then refuse to move. Turning the ignition off and on (engine not running) would reset them every time and they would work again, maybe 3 wipes then on every pull, then refuse after 10+ for no reason. Ignition off and on would reset again and they would work first time, so probably not a connection in the stalk, but can anyone explain this behaviour?

TIA

Craig

Are you sure it hasn't simply blown a joint apart with the cold weather. The pump will be quieter due to lack of back pressure.
The fuse should be listed in the user manual.
