My New Tornado Red GTD
« on: 09 July 2019, 22:26 »
Hi guys,

Upgraded my mk7 gtd to the 7.5 Gtd at the weekend.
Spec: tornado red, 19 Brescia alloys, genuine mudflaps. Leather, camer etc and DSG for a change.

Since owning for just a week have added carbon mirrors, Dynablink indicators. 4D carbon plates. Custom remap - RR at 231bhp.

Next week will be fitting maxton design lip spoiler and front 3 windows tinted.

Spacers and springs will be next.

So far we’ll impresssed with it. Had a 2017 mk7 gtd manual so not much difference inside really.

*ps also have a oettenger style carbon spoiler for sale. £100 posted as it was ordered by mistake 😂

Thanks

That looks really good, nice spec. You’ve certainly been busy since taking delivery!
How do you find the DSG after the manual, especially since it’s been mapped?

Looking forward to seeing how the car progresses and what your thoughts on it are after the earlier GTD.

For those like me that are ocularly challenged...

Looks great! 331bhp? Must pull pretty well! How's traction?

Hahaha apologises I meant 231bhp.

Well got it done with only 400miles on the clock so can really compare what it was like before. I don’t drive hard really anyway, but the lift when needed is pretty good.

Happy with the DSG at the min. One thing I do find is it would hold on to a gear slightly longer than i would if in manual but suppose that’s trying to drive at peek performance for fuel etc.

Averaging 49.5 mpg at the min with 850miles on the clock.

Thanks for putting the pictures to a size that people can see aswell. 👌

Looks great! Reckon some gloss black GTD badgeskins would look cool as well!
