I'd like to do the shiny strips on the doors and above the glovebox but don't know how to remove them (only tried the glovebox strip)

Its too much like 2010 wrapping everything in carbon fibre. Even though I like stuff to look racey and aggressive I think it ruins the interior on the MK6. It looked ok in the MK5 as that interior is dull.

Thanks for that, after reading that I won't be doing it. To remove the door trim they are plastic melt welds in place and don't fancy having to re glue them in place

I agree. The mk6 interior doesn't need touching.

But if you're going to do it, do it properly...

Not  really my taste as i would have done the dash in real leather myself as im not a fan of that stuff after seen it done to death year after year after year after year after year on the car audio seen. Its fine imo on headlineing, pillars, door inserts  and seat centres but the rest i would choose  real leather. Its the way ferrari, audi R8 and many others do it. The rest of the front cabin is impressive, very nice

it's one of the nicest mk6's I've seen.

I'd love a big money show car like that, my only issue is that I don't want to spend big money haha.

here's the build thread, for anyone interested: http://www.golfmk6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22389

Bought a carbon fibre bonnet without the notch and badgeless grille. Didn't like the badgeless grille, so did this to the bonnet!!!

It's good to see what others can achieve but not to my taste.  It would be nightmare for showing EVERY mark, you'd be forever brushing it.  Agree that it would look better in leather.  Not keen on lots of carbon fibre either, though I do love the carbon nappa leather option on the mk7 R

Much better with a badge, not a fan of badgeless grilles.  What did you use to cut it out, smooth the remaining edges?  Didn't you have a CF bonnet previously?
