If you want to see how much the esp is working in everyday conditions try turn in off and floor it in 3rd in the wet

and look out for major understeer

When you put this off, there is a graphic of a yellow car skidding, flashing on the instrument cluster.

By default though, ESP comes on every time you start the car. You have to manually switch it off every drive. At least that's what happens on mine!!
