Problem with fuel gauge
« on: 20 June 2016, 15:21 »
Hello in December last your the ECC burnt out after one of the coil packs failed.since then the fuel gauge hasn't worked.Plus the temp gauge is reading -44oC.LOL.I've had the fuel pump changed and checked, the little black box changed in the loom just after the fuel pump, fuses all checked and ok,Dash clocks checked all fine. The ECU and whatever else needs to be reprogramed has been done, and when when its plugged in to the diagnostics its saying everything is ok?.The pump under the back seat on my car has a 5 pin plug where most of the others have only 4?.PLEASE Can anyone give me any info before i go nuts.Dave.

i could type an essay on how to check these things with vcds and a multimeter, but seems like a duff set of clocks to me. Especially if both temp and fuel gauges went t!ts up at the same time as the ECU.
You could plug another set in and see if the fuel gauge registers before going to the bother of reprogramming the immobiliser.
