Title: 2010 MK6 GTI TSI - SLIGHT HESITATION BETWEEN 2-3K ON SLIGHT THROTTLE
Post by: gt-5idhu on 12 July 2019, 21:52
Hi All,

Recently got a mk6 gti after owning a mk5 for 5 years.

Noticed that if i am driving it casually it tends to hesitate slightly between 2-3k rpm.

If i rev the car in neutral i cannot feel a stutter.

This only happens when your cruising along, if you press the throttle more it disappears.

No lights on and scanned with tool and nothing come back

Cars on 99k and no issues otherwise

Any advice on what to check first is much appreciated

Sounds tricky, you could attempt an expensive throw parts at it, for example a new DV

I have same issue only happens now an again especially when it's cold an it's like the car stops power for a split second
I have uprated DV+ and run stage 1

Whenever I've had cars that hesitate under load I first look at the fuel delivery, then I look at ignition.

I start with the cheapest test which is add £10 Wynns Gold fuel system cleaner to a full tank. That usually sorts it out, I've done it on 3 cars now.
Next would be fuel filter change, then check fuel pump pressure after that would be ignition coils, plugs etc
