    * 85,500 miles
    * lots of bills plus most M.O.T certificates of the cars life

F*ck off.  It'll get rims at the least and then they won't look quite right, so it'll get a drop..... and then.... and then..... and then...... and then the cosmetic tinkering will start.

You are such a tinkerer.

Title: Re: The Marmite 'loon - pending collection
Post by: Diamond Hell on 25 May 2010, 18:05
Surely you've got some 15" rims lying around that would suit?

You really can't leave it on those 14"ers - crime against nature.

Post by: Shady Pioneer on 25 May 2010, 18:30
I don't believe you chuff, I agree with DH, you won't be able to keep it standard, the headlights will need something else to 'compliment' it.

You bringing this or the wagon to Volksfest then?
Title: Re: The Marmite 'loon - pending collection
Post by: johnson6672 on 25 May 2010, 18:34

Does need rims and a 40mm drop to be fair. Bit that's not modding, that's just fixing what was wrong from the factory. All dailys should at least have some rimmage and slammage!

she is in better condition than expected, and performed well on the way home, a nice 43.1 MPG even with a few spirited bursts to see how she went .

the ride could be described as " wallowy "  but all is good.

needs a few trim / dash bits inside, but apart from that all is good :afro:

i think with 2 cars (unless you're rich) you're not tempted to blow money on both as all the spare cash could go on one... he has the wagon and its awesome.  if theres spare cash kicking about, spend it on that. Otherwise defeats the purpose of a mile muncher... but i dont know, he might crack!

Finding cheap, solid cars isn't that hard at all, especially if you're

a) patient
b) willing to buy something a bit off-centre
c) prepared to move fast when you spot what you want

Chuff is all of these.  He's like a cheap car buying ninja.

It's been fixed for months - it was only out for 2-3 weeks earlier in the year when they snapped a driveshaft.

Go Wightlink after 22:30 and it's £15 each way + £1 per additional passenger.

after ripping the headling out of the Wagon - i decided to head off to a Scrappies where there was alledgly 2 B3's

however, just coming out of the oil water and battery removal shed was a B3 Gt wagon

well after doing more miles in 4 days than the cars done in the last 4 months the problems have arisen .

The tyres, or at least 2 of them are shot

And thats it

So its either stick the Nankangs that came off the wagon on it  :undecided:

of just stick the Toyos on the MKII Rims that came off the Skoda.

MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So just bang a set of your five rims on it!

Unless they're all shod with Nankangs...

I guess the pee-filled lights go with the Grandad image you're trying to culture.

Have you ever thought about getting a Granada?

Fit 1 wheel from each the sets of rims, so each corner is different. Now that really would be Marmite.

That wagon is one of the coolest cars on the forum.

Trading it for a van would be like trading a 5 course meal at a michelin star restaurant for a 10 minute bum shag with Mr Motivator.

Ps - It's unfair of you to withhold rimmage and slammage on a car with such potential for badassness.

You need to pay more attention to vans.  They can be just as cool as cars, provided they don't contain morons.

Actually if you've seen the video you'd know they're in a suspension press-up competition against one another - that's how hard Chuff's motors are.
