here's one i bookmarked earlier

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1980960

I paid a local garage to do mine as they have special tools to pop the bushes in and out, eg not a hammer and g clamp like in the guide.

if you're replacing them, the Leon Cupra R bushes are the ones to go for.

Or the Fabia VRS for a quarter of the price  :wink:
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

hadn't heard of the vRS bushes being used in the MK4, so just checked ETKA and a quick read through http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/254751.aspx

and as I suspected different part numbers, but from the looks of it a very similar part, probably a slightly firmer rubber in the LCR given that the LCR is heavier than the vRS

standard MK4 bush;
1J0 501 541 C

vRS bush part number;
6Q0 501 541 E

LCR bush;
1ML 501 541

Chaps... I need to replace my rear axle bushes and have been told that the vRS will fit my vehicle on a number of forums. However, when I contacted AVS - vwspares, they stated that on my particular model, the rear axle bushes are 69mm ones and not the vRS type which are 72mm ones. Can anyone confirm whether the vRS ones will definitely fit or not... thanks
