Due to lockdowns, Covid, Winter, working from home, supermarket deliverys, Amazon deliverys etc,

Ive only just realised apart from making sure i run it every few months and move it back and forth.
The Mk6 hasnt done any miles this past year.

My MOT guy is really going to rip the piss out of me this year.

Thought i better check the other cars and OMG ive only done 600 miles total in the past 6 months!   :embarrassed: :undecided:

Ive turned into a hermit....

So today went for a 20 mile drive in the mk6 (collected some parts on route) forgot what the mk6 was like.  Stalled it twice

Fitted a new PCV valve. It wasn't showing signs of being on the way out, but I'm getting a new clutch soon and asked for the rear main seal to be changed too as preventative maintenance, so it makes sense to change this now. The engine does actually idle better now and responds more to pulling the dipstick out while idling. Very easy job.

Fitted new front brake pads as down to 3mm. Disc still in good condition. Not bad for 87k miles on set of pads.
Mk6 GTI Carbon Grey, 2010 Bluetooth and voice fitted, a few VCDS mods still a comfortable family car. Red Scirocco 2011 twin charger stage 1 - enjoyable drive now gone.  White 2016 Polo GTI (roller skate on steroids) replaced with an Indium Grey 2019 7.5 GTI PP.

Mines been SORN since end March. I keep looking at its sad face in the garage and think i need to get it serviced, MOTed and used.  :embarrassed:

Nows probably the best time for me to get my ass in gear and do it.
The poor thing will prob be garaged again when my GR Yaris arrives in a few weeks.

Picked up and fitted some new GTI carpet floor mats I'd ordered through my local VW dealer. Though I've given myself another job as the driver's footwell needs a bit of a vacumn!

The GTI lettering and red stitched edge lifts the typical gloominess of the footwells though. Was suprised I'd still be able to get them.
