so there i was on my way home on the a12 crawling through the roadworks when an 'executive' taxi driver tried to squeeze behind me when he knocked my car. we exchanged details and admitted liability and even said he'll call me and sort out a cash settlement.
Today i get a call from his insurer saying he told them and they'll sort out everything ie. courtesy car, repair.
should i let my insurance company know or will they let them know? Will i have to pay excess if i tell my insurer?
should i have got the customer in the cabbies details down just in case?
first time for me hence the q's. Suprised how my bumper had scratches and lost paint however his door had a masive dent and deformed considering it was a new vw passat although his may be cheaper to repair.
