A common car wash now when you have been influenced by all detailing movies on Youtube.

It was easier before ... *

Are there more than I who have ten doubled their account for detailing products ?!

But I love to wash, so this is done just to reflect how it was earlier to today when everything is so easy to be influenced by ..

When i hade my GTI Mk2 about 15 years ago, i probably had 5 bottles of detailing products.

Today a have probably 50 different of bottles with "clever" things, think i been pranked..

*update*

Based on your comments and tips on my previous washing video.

So I have now changed how I wash the car. :)

What has changed.

Run with two bucket method.
A separate bucket for rims and insect cleaning
Rinse off the car with water directly from the water hose
Wipe with air compressor to begin with.

Yes, it's not simple, but fun;)

Just a tip...

If you make your final rinse of the car a rinse using just the open end of a hose (unhooked from the pressure washer), it will leave much less standing water on the car to be dried off with drying towels which can inflict a surprising amount of swirls.  Helps keep your paintwork in good shape.

I'm no expert in detailing but I don't think I would use the same wash mitt for the wheels and the paintwork

O No : Uses a "special" glove to the wheels and the exhaust tip and a bucket for that..

Then a bucket and wash mitt for the rest of the car...
