Just looking at a couple of basic non engine mods for the new GTI
Is the Helix worth the investment ?
Seems to get dood reports.
My current system is facelift discover nav / composite media. Actually sounds okay compared to the M135i standard system but still....
Thanks

I've only read good things about it. Great write up/install guide here:

There's a few German suppliers on eBay selling the kit for around £360, I am not sure of the current UK dealer price.

Does anyone know if the Helix upgrade is still available from UK VW dealers?
Also, is the newer version, described in that AwsomeGTI link, compatible with MY2020 mk7.5 Discover Pro systems (non-Dynaudio)?

Have a try, it's a genuine VW product so contact your local dealer and let us know how you get on

Will do, thank you

Does the subwoofer sit on top of the spare wheel or does it replace the spare?

This company claims the sub can be modified to fit with the spare wheel in the GTI. I'm not sure if this is specific to the GTI or can be done with all versions of the mk7.
