site maintenance this weekend
« on: 10 August 2004, 21:19 »
going to be doing a load of work on the site this weekend so it is likely to be off completely for a lot of the time. will hopefully be upgrading the forum software, doing a bit of a re-design, lots of tidying and generally an opportunity to sort out a load of things.

the weekend is when it gets used the least so hopefully no major inconvenience :)

anyway, hopefully will be back and better than ever by Monday at the latest ?8)

g'luck with the convert to SMF JV.

the table conversion takes a lil while.. hope it doesnt take as long as mine did ... (over 8 hours before i gave up.. lol)..

when its refreshing saying "updatign" or soemthing like that... its wokring.. and the amount of time the text changes depending upon how many reocrds its done.. u'll know what i mean.  i had to get a special version of the script that did more records at once to speed it up on my server  8)

... i'm always awkward!
Used to have a '97 MK3 16v GTI 3dr in 'Black Magic'... now have a '55 Civic Type-S...

Guess you're not finished yet John, but great work so far. So many more features including one of my favourites, notification of posts. Profile stats make interesting reading ;)
