[problems] windows and dash
« on: 17 June 2014, 17:56 »
Hey, new to the forums. So I have a golf IV 1.4 for about 5 months now without any problems. The other day the passenger side window fell and I can't seem to get it back up took of the interior panel and also tried too pull it up with needle nosed pliers but it wont budge so now I'm stuck with an open passenger side window. After putting the interior panel back on I tried to open the other windows and now none of them will open(they're electric also power lock and interior lights work if that helps). On top of that now my trunk open dashboard light stays on while im driving, and I checked but the trunk is shut (also trunk wont lock when I lock the car but it stays shut/latches)

Anyone have any idea what these problems could be and why the started right after the passenger side window fell seems odd to me.
Thanks for any help and sorry for the long post!

Passenger window will be broken regulator clips:

The boot open warning is probably the micro switch in the boot:

As for the windows, have you checked the fuse? I think it's number 14.

Alright thanks for the links! I'll see what I can do this week. and I don't think it would be the 14 fuse as that controls interior lighting as well i believe which are working. But it's a cheap part so i'll try it anyways. Thanks again
