£265 Price

1.8T Cambelt, waterpump breather hose Y section and rocker gasket. £265 all in including antifreeze etc genuine VW parts used.

Good/bad?

Where all my moneys went.

I haven't paid fo it to be done myself but considering the price of parts to be about £160 I would say that that's pretty good  :smiley:

I had my cambelt and water pump done on my diesel for a little over £200 parts and labour ( genuine Vw ) at a friends garage so that doesn't sound bad at all. Got my parts trade aswell


Sell my Vw??? I'd rather stick wasps up my arse

I paid £175 for timbing belt and water pump. Then £100 labour.
Golf Mk4 GTi Turbo, R32 front bumper, Lowered on ProSport Coilovers, Bora illuminated vents, Armrest, Heko wind deflectors, Aluminium vinyl trim.

Soon to be added, FMIC, 3" exhaust, Remap..oh and new turbo :(

have you included the hydraulic piston damper for the tensioner in that? you don't necessarily always need it but you won't really know for sure until everything is in bits.

I had the tensioner done. Added another £110 my price. Came to £520 for everything including an MOT.

Mentioned it. Said I will look but to be honest I want to change it. Another 72 quid for it.
