I can't get any photos yet, but I will as soon as I'm near the car, and it isn't pitch black!!

As mentioned, 40mm drop.  They put the car onto their machine to align everything, and then realised that their computer system doesn't have the correct settings for a Golf GTI that's using Eibach 40mm springs.  The guy said they had to do the best job they could by hand!! 

It does look pretty damn low, and I'm right to say it'll naturally drop a bit more over time?

One thing is for sure, it's a REALLY hard ride now!  I can feel every single tiny stone and miniature hole in the road!  I can even feel what texture the road surface is, just by how it feels!!

yep should settle a little more with a few miles under there belts.
i have eibach coilovers on mine and there also damm hard.
more than make up in the twistys tho im sure your agree

Doubt it, dont gt me wrong pros with low profile tyres are firm but ideal IMO, not like some cheap spings.

What pressures are you running?
