So what are the GTD's getting to the gallon these days?

Mine's doing about 42 in London with a heavy right foot.

Motorway 55-58 pushing on!! :cool:

47.3mph overall.  Its lower in the really cold, although now its 6-9 degrees out I have seen it creep back to over 50 now.
Diagonally parked in a parallel universe.
On Order: Mk8 R, Pure White, Reversing Camera, Harmon Kardon, Heated seats all round.
Gone: Mk7.5 R, 5dr, DSG, Deep Pearl Black, 18” Cadiz, Nav, Winter Pack, Keyless, Dynaudio and Reversing camera.
Gone: Mk7 R, 5dr, DSG, Limestone Grey, 19" Pretoria's, Nav Pro, DCC, Winter Pack, Keyless, Mobile Prep and Reversing Camera.
Gone: Mk6 GTD, 5dr, Manual, Tornado Red, 18" Vancouvers, RCD510 + Dynaudio, heated seats.

My long term is 53 ish, I've had high 60's but I had to drive like a saint  :rolleyes:

It's remarkable what you can get out of them  :wink:

I was thinkinhg about this today. My current TDI averages 57 mpg. Good car but I miss the fun factor.

I was wondering what an extra 65 horsies under the bonnet would do to my mpg.

Looks like the GTD will have excellent smiles per gallon for hot hatch performace in the mid range. :cool:

Mid 50s on long motorway trips in the summer months with cruise on, but dropping to high 40s in the cold weather.
Mk7 GTD | 3-door, Carbon Grey, Keyless, Dynaudio, Pano roof.

About 550 at the mo to £50 ish can get 690 if I drive real s l o w and use every last drop.

So based on a 55 litre/12.1 gallon tank that's a real-world 45-57mpg. Not bad, especially as I'm getting 28-33  :sad:
