When I first got into OCD it was where I started. I think both meguiars and DJ are almost an entry level for nearly all detailing products. Both megs and DJ are good value for money I feel. Also with DJ there is kind of like a second, more expensive, tier being Supernatural.

DJ FTW  :nerd:

Most of the stuff of theirs I've tried is very good (SN Sponge, SN Hybrid, Purple Haze Pro, Clearly Menthol, Basic of Bling). Have a read on Detailing World and form your own opinion.

Dodo stuff is good, but there's other stuff out there that can achieve similar results for less money or if you have a big wallet you can splash out on more expensive alternatives,
If it works for you........use it and enjoy it,

Hybrid is the nuts , then DJSN is even better for the extra shine , ive seen wax's go for 40k , 10k 5k so Dodo is very very good for the price

Try the Diamond white is excellent stuff 25quid and just watch it bead when at at speed

Not digging that colour wax talk. To me a wax is a wax and cant understand how the wax is designed for certain paints?

Purple haze is a good wax though and lime prime is one of my favorites. Just a bit put off with their sales technique.

surpisingly enough, the colour charged waxes do work

i too believe that dodo juice is very good, but it is also very over priced, and although a little goes along way, you can buy more for less money from other brands

You can buy pots of DJ for £15. The panel pots will easily do 3/4 coats. I have not used collinite, but SNH can be had for under £30 and for a large pot of wax that will last years isn't a bad price I feel. I reckon price per layer of wax on your car would be maybe 60p for collinite to SNH for £1...

What do you guys reckon on price per coat of any wax compared to another?

dont get me wrong , I highly rate the dodo range , collinite will protect for up to 12 months tho. The results you get are all in the prep.

I would be very surprised if colli would last 12 months, or any other wax for that matter, they will always need a top up to maintain the protection...

Colli is good but the shine is not as good Dodo , also it doesn't last a year ether no way !!

interesting thread

for me - dodo products are good, but do cost a lot for what you get.. there is no way that I would use them for the bulk work that I do

wax wise...

the collinite b!tches are very good value for money
autosmart WAX is an awesome wax for the money
and i was extremely impressed with chemical guys 50/50 which for 40 quid behaves like it should cost 100

The AS wax comes in the same price bracket as dodo waxes, collinite waxes are a must for any pro imo, easy to use great finish and durable as hell, no brainier really,
Swissvax for posh jobs,
CG's petes 53 is pretty good, haven't tried 50/50 yet,
As far as dodo goes for me now I only use SN and SNH on midrange jobs.
