Had map today has any one got a yellow spring for dv as I have standard one and am I right in thinking a yellow one will hold boost longer. So if any one has one they font use any more and fancy selling me it would be good

I aint got a spring but i dunno wether you got an email from me regarding your oil pick up pipe was it any good

the sealent ya need is called dirko proper goes of quick and do on the inside edge of the bolt holes not the outside or you gonna get someone to do it for ya?

stronger spring won't let you hold boost for longer it will just stop the DV cracking open with the extra boost being put through the system

I'm gonna do it quit handy with the spanners lol you end up with any leaks from sump

The spring will make no differance to power you can, You can use the green spring of you want, as the top boost feed will keep the dv fully shut under load.
The yellow spring is used to get a crisper lift of and make part throttle spool up driving much better, part throttle with vary the maifold pressure which under higher part throttle load can cause the DV to flutter open a bit, having the added spring pre load will make the varying maifold pressure realted dv isues less sensitive. Its got nothing to do with what WOT boost the DV can hold as there is no pressure acting on the pistion or spring..
I am running 24psi peak and 21psi at 6000rpm and only using green springs... albeit with two Forge 007p DVs in line..lol

Yer when running NOS at 350bhp, and off nos I am pulling 223gsof air and have 24psi by 3200rpm and holds 21psi close on 6500rpm. Between gear changes I can shift more air out the boost pipes which allows the turbo to keep spooling at high speeds which has resulted in very very little lag between gears. Plus my part throttle driving (with the R-Tech Linear-DBW throttle mapping) is really smooth on and off load.

The reds came thank you very much for them.... the wifes AGU is going to have a EBAY k04-001 and a hell of a lot of development work during the winter months.. If i can get rid of the 10 car back log.. :embarassed:
I am back on a yellow spring now, lost a lot of spool up.. :angry: But I have a blue forge spring back on order so in can go back to 334lbft ready for santa pod on october...

Hum interersting..I've just got a awesome Forge 007P and fitted sounds the same.. I "think" it feels diff but it could just be me lol
Anyhows i thougth yellow spring was good for standard (like mine) and also stage one cars? And yellow spring for stage 2? say an AGU with a k03s?

yellow feels better with stage2 mapping, but running the green wont give any less power just a fluttery dv when the manifold pressure varys

i've just read in my invoice that awesome sent me a yellow spring? I told em i'll be standard then stage 1 after ? lol

A yellow spring will be fine, both for standard and mapped to stage 1.

email forge, there service is top notch, they sent me some spare spacers and an additional spring free off charge. Why waste money when you can get it free.
@Nick, whats the twin DV setup look like, is it beneficial to any car with the correct map, as it seems something very interesting and beneficial on a track to keep that turbo spooled up as much as possible.
