I have a MK1 GTI Cab 1989, previous owner has fitted a carb engine, Im wanting to fit a GTI engine back into car. Is it possible to fit a 1.8 8v from a mk2 & if so whats involved. i have the full engine, loom & fuse box from the mk2. Also do i need to change brake s & running gear.
