Recent Work Update

The Golf has been lowered on Venom Lowing Kit 60mm.  Had this done at a mates work, they was four of us doing it, so it was a bit like a formula 1 pit crew, However looking at it i want it lower.

Also the German number plates went on. personally I think they look great.

Last night I had the Grill off to replace the broken headlight with its newly bought crystal clear lights

Sadly still have not had any money to buy the inners.  So I have to wait a little longer to get the cash for these.

One problem is now the passenger side inner light does not work when on sidelights, and the little bulb in the outer headlight has blown.

I thought I would write a list of things todo.

Replace the standard inner lights for crysal clear.
Repair rust bubble on rear driver side window.
Replace sunroof (due to some pikey pushing it in)
Replace/repair bonnet (due to some pikey keying it!)
Punch a Pikey for damaging my car.
Pick up my steel wheels from my mate.
Keep searching for some alloys that a. I want and b. can afford.
Change small bumpers for new small bumpers with chrome inserts.
New grill as the current one is looking a bit tatty.

Spray the rear valance to clear the rear up.
Replace the standard inner lights for crysal clear.
Remove Driver badge
Replace Golf badge for new a chrome one
Replace VW badge for new Chrome one
Replace the black VW grill badge for a chrome one.

Uprate the brakes
then I will start to think about doing an engine swap
and start looking GTI interior.

Also I plan to hide the exhaust and smooth the valence.

Well this weekend I had a bit of free time, so gave the Golf a wash and polish, half way thought I was thinking how it would be a good fitness program as I was sweating my ass off!   Each time I polish it always reminds me that i need to get a re-spray.  But no money for that at the moment.

I changed the steelies over to my new Gti steelies which have tread on the tyres... after taking the old ones off i notices just how bad the fronts were!!! opps.

Changed a few other items which i have recently bought, first i put in the chrome door handle strip bits which i love the look off. Next i changed the grill badge back to the chrome one, but i am not sure i like it.

then i decided to changed the rear badges, so pulled them off, gave them a clean and sprayed them black. They were looking tatty as most of the chrome had rubbed off.

To tidy up the trim i am going to give them a spray tonight.  So will be taking the bumpers off and spraying. Hopefully have enough left in the can.
