ex-Lewy - Mk2 on Air.
« on: 22 September 2010, 22:05 »
Bought this whilst in Iraq in 2009, and being lucky to have friends in southern places, Joe aka Mr Trimdeluxe looked over it for me. 1991 16v with all the bells and whistles and 174k on the clock with a history as long as your arm.

As I bought it

Ready to come apart

Apart

Nearly there

Fitted with the wheels, suspension etc etc etc

Then split the front wheels to accomodate and extra 0.5". They're now 9.5 rear, 9 fronts with Radinox dishes, titanium bolts and Proxies.

Thats it for now

There has been plenty more goings on, but for now that'll do, cos I ain't got any pictures of the new stuff!!

Well the car is coming along nicely, the wheels and tyres are sold to go on a Caddy in Chester, some of the interior is in Littlehampton, and the little niggly things are still in the racks in VW.

New wheels are coming together nicely though!

As I've no more pictures of the car or wheels, here are a few that I found on my hard drive.

Boot install as I got it from Russ Whitefield (C4RBD)

As it is now

The interior strip out for new sound proofing and paint.

With the old Momo Team fitted, now gone.

Parked up for winter 09/10

Okay, so I got the car back on Tuesday, and the fun started straight away.

Scene blue tape to help avoid the dreaded stone chips.

Had a little bit of rain on the car when I got back too.

BBS RS131 & 132's now measuring 9 & 9.5x16 (as I changed the front barrels cheers Ryan ) with 1.5" Radinox dishes all round, polished stainless steel nuts and blts, and brand new Falken rubber - 205/40 Fr, 215/35 R.  Fitted to the car using the finest H&R adapters.

BBS Silver powdercoat with lacquer and anthracite barrels carried out by Mike Robertson AKA 'The Polisher', a true gent and a crackin' swearer!!

JL 300/2 powering the front JL C5 -650's, and a JL 500/1 powering the 10W6 in das boot!

Also got my little helper to help clean the UV Recaro

As I only got the interior back in yesterday, I haven't got ay photo's of it just yet, but I'll keep you posted.......
