82 Gli restore

Need your help Golfgti forum

So I plan to be back in the UK end of November and I will be pulling my 82 vw golf mk1 Gli cabriolet out of storage. I want to find ideally a single shop/company who can help me restore it to what I want, or few key people, companies.

I live in USA so I need to get recommendations from people here on who is right people/company to reach out to for help on this project.

I will traveling back and forth from USA to UK over next year so I can check-in on progress.

Work will be complete repaint, interior refresh, front to rear clean up/service, looking for modern engine swop, etc.

I'm looking for quality work here on people/companies I can trust.

This is something that I have been going on about as missing for years!

You'll more likely have to end up taking the car all over the place to certain specialists. As for paintwork, well, what a fookin' nightmare that is
