So it does it really matter what pcp I sign up to if I'm withdrawing?
When the dealer contacts, what am I best doing?
I have agreed a price fo my GTI privately. And I have my own funds.

I would get a written quotation for the finance, check that the figures stack up to the on screen quotation for the car i.e. finance quotation total amount payable is new car on screen price plus interest charges. You may also want to check the interest rate is the same as the offer rate quoted on the VW website. If you don't recognise any of the figures on the finance quotation then do not sign it.

Before you let your current car go I would get the dealer to confirm lead time, ideally in writing.

DTD spoken to dealer. 12 to 16 week lead time!

I paid my GTI off after 1st payment came off and still got £1000 deposit contribution. If you pay it off within 3 months the dealer takes a bit but I don't know how much so don't tell them 🤣

It's the massive lead time now. I've agreed a price for the private sale of my GTI based on 12 week lead time.

I'd say that realistically its 16-26 weeks lead from ordering at the moment....

Yet all the dealers on car wow quoting between 12 weeks and 16.

How can you get confirmation on the delivery time? Or is there no such thing? I'm not prepared to wait til 2018 for it.

You can't at all. It comes when it comes...

One other thing to you need to consider that could push your delivery back even further is if the supplying dealer has sufficient allocation left to place your order immediately. If they have already ordered up to their limit for the month they won't be able to place another order until they have more unfilled allocation slots available.
