Mk7.5 GTI DSG coming, intake recommendations?
« on: 22 May 2017, 21:43 »
Hi all, I'm awaiting delivery of a Mk7.5 GTI DSG 5dr in Indium Grey which is due for build week 23 and arriving with me at end of June. It's a company car and a lease deal and wasn't able to add any options but looking forward to getting it. I've not seen the colour in the metal but looks great in pics on here. Really wanted a pan roof as currently got a W205 C200 AMG Line with pan roof and literally have it open most of time so going to miss this.

I've been looking at a CAI as think would be nice to have a little more noise and have been pointed in the direction of the Integrated Engineering CAI by a local VW specialist in Sheffield.

Done a search and can't seem to see any threads on intakes for the Mk7/.5.

I probably won't be having a remap as will only have the car for 2 years so its purely for a bit more noise. That said, maybe I'll be happy once it arrives next month. Test drove a Mk7 with the performance pack (so same bhp) and certainly usefully quicker than the Merc and better sounding!

Any thoughts?

Cheers for that, saw there is one for sale in classified. Can't seem to find many videos of this intake but it does look pretty good and very OEM.
