Bye Bye GTD - Parts for sale...
« on: 25 February 2017, 12:47 »
As mentioned, my 2009 GTD is going - after over 6 years of happy driving it is time to move onto something bigger.

I'll most likely put my car in as Part Ex so will be removing the following items. Classifieds thread will be up shortly: -

Genuine R LED rear lights including adaptor cables

Genuine LED rear number plate lights including adaptor cables

VW Bluetooth module; microphone and wiring loom

I also have a removable tow bar and lower valance with removable section that I could remove but would need the crash reinforcement bar from another Mk6 to swap this out.

Thanks !

I'm really looking forward to it but will miss the GTD - it's been a great car.

Ideally would have like to stay in a Golf (new GTI or GTD) but they're not big enough and I don't like the estate version or Passatts so back to Audi.  At least it's still a VAG car !

My mk6 GTD was a great car too; one of the best cars I've owned.

I went the opposite way to you and downsized last year and bought a Polo GTI. It does all I need from a car as I rarely carry more than 1 passenger. It's pretty quick, fun to drive, fits into small parking spaces and it's quite frugal if you're sensible!

If I needed a large car, then I think the A5 would be on my list of possible replacements.

They are nice cars  and the GTI looks really good.

Will feel strange getting a bigger car again. I've got used to the Golf   Strangely the A5 is not as wide as the Golf - weird !!
