Fabric guard/sealant product?
« on: 30 September 2014, 19:36 »
Ok guys so I'm looking for a fabric protectant for my mats and carpet and am looking for opinions from people who have used one before. Options seem to be Gtechniq I1, 303 Fabric Guard or Gyeon Fabric Coat. Any others I should look at? I'm particularly interested in how far the product goes as I'm looking to protect two sets of four mats and the whole carpet of the car.

Thanks

Dan

No idea, not used anything on mine and it seemed to survive a spilt KFC Oreo cookie milkshake incident ok (courtesy of my butterfingered child), but if you find anything to minimise the 'fluffing up' of carpet, let me know :-)

Bit of a bump but the CG stuff is good. Juicy Details have just release one too and looks pretty decent.

This stuff is superb. I used this on my Alcantara seats and carpets in my previous BM.

Tip: Spray on and work into the fabric fibres by hand wearing a rubber glove

Realise this is an old thread but wondered what others have used on their interior. I've just got a new R and want to get it protected whilst it's new. I've bought some gtechniq i1 but am nervous about applying to the alcantara areas.

@MAW73: How did it hold up on the alcantara interior?

Even if others have used it to good effect, it's always best to carry out a small test application before going all out on the whole interior.  Gtechniq products are superb, and i1 is no different.
