Anyone else had issues with the Discover Media system, I did at one point connect my phones hotspot to the wlan in the car.
However that was brief, now it constantly says "WLAN not available - another connection is in use", when trying to get car-net registered (yes I have my access code) it seems to think that a car stick is installed, which it certainly isnt.
Anyone else ever suffer this and is there a quick fix?
If not I'll be back to dealers already!

Park the car outside your house and use your home WiFi?
-
Well...
1. That's no good to me when I want to use car-net in the middle of the Dales
2. Doesn't matter if its phone hotspot or home wifi, whenever I select WLAN on the menu setup it says the connection isn't available due to another connection in use.

Hold down the power button until the MIB unit reboots?
-
I.T guru right there,, ^^^^

Good ole restart technique! Unfortunately it failed. (I'd already tried)
-
Go into the setup menu and do a factory reset on the bit that is causing the problem?
-
Done that including a full reset.

Mine is the same worked once that was it
Rubbish

Well, after hours yesterday with no avail and having not touched it since 8am this morning, just out of curiosity tried it again just now and all of a sudden WLAN is working again and I was able to register for CarNet finally.
Guess something in the system decided to reset itself.

Same happened to me mate, next day hey presto, registered and working. But likely to be in and out service especially when you actually need it.

The only way I could get mine to be anything like reliable is connected to the house wifi. It will connect to my phone hotspot, but forgets it very quickly. I think this aspect of the car is work in progress and not something to brag about. Poor!
Anyway, when it is connected, there is little or no information I can't get another way.
