Title: Beetle
Post by: a9wyn on 15 September 2018, 10:11
Sad to hear VW is axing the Beetle from next year ( although you haven't been able to spec. a new one for a while) Between the Beetle and the Golf Gti,they are the only two cars in the VW line up that I find interesting, and I have been driving VW's ( Beetles Golfs and Jettas) for the last 45+ years.....But who knows maybe the the Mk3 version will raise it's head in the coming years?

Haven't they just axed the Mk3?

Mk2 Beetle was an absolute pudding of a car, Mk3 was much better. Never came close to buying one though as the Golf just ticked loads more boxes.

Had a Mk2 Auto. had to have a new gearbox at 57000 miles lost confidence in the car after that. My wife loved it though. Bought a 2013 TDI Cabrio. Like chalk and cheese. The MK3 Beetle is a far superior car to the MK2. Better economy, lovely to drive. The DSG box is superb and the operation of the roof is fully automatic. I own a 2016 GTI P/P and it would be a hard choice to choose between them if one had to go.

Mk2 Beetle was an absolute pudding of a car, this testosterone boosters list (https://www.muscleandfitness.com/supplements/best-testosterone-boosters/) was much better. Never came close to buying one though as the Golf just ticked loads more boxes.

Always sad to see a model axed. What can ya do though, that's just business.
