That's only a small easy to fix failure list.
My Audi A4 failed yesterday with £500 needing to be spent on brakes and a list of advisories (like 4 new tyres). Not best pleased.

You should be pretty chuffed given how long it's been in bits and that you did it all yourself.

When you get it back, it'll be great and you'll have a stupid grin all over your face.

That's not too bad at all, when you getting it retested?

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Waiting on two rear brake hoses to arrive.  (and they better get here soon!)

Have made a start by spraying up bolts with WD in advance that haven't been undone in a long time, need to drop the rear beam.   Don't want to sheer anything as you know it's easily done.

Going to make a proper start after work with the one and a bit hours of light I'll have.  Also need to check that missing split pin issue and the other bits.

You want some proper penetrating fluid, gt85 or if you can find it plus gas. Makes life alot easier.

You don't own a Mk2, you support it.

Cheers, I just hope the beam mounts come off easy!..... I want to paint it while it's dropped but not prepared for that yet.

MK1 Black From The Dead (Parts Arrived - Rear Beam Dropped p98)
Straight from work I got on the case. (In the dark)

Either the 2 day nut soaking worked or I’m just lucky, rear beam is off! Wasn't too hard at all.  Found some surface cr@p to clean up where it was mounted so this will be a good opportunity to do that and treat everything the beam hides.  I just hope the hoses come off as easily as the access to them is still pretty poor.

Sorry, wrong picture
