Perhaps not my best effort but at least it looks loads better, not that it'd be hard not to

Two goes with Valetpro Advanced snowfoam followed by plenty of rinsing and a two bucket wash with Gtechniq G wash. It was truly minging, particularly the wheels and rear end. Dried off then a spray of Bouncers Done and Dusted QD. Tyres and all rubbers treated to some Finish Kare Top Kote, tail pipes polished with Mothers and all glass with Auto Glym Fast Glass. It was starting to get dark so these were the best I could get with my crappy tablet:

Looks great Watts. I washed mine today too; first time I've had to resort to using warm water in my buckets for a long time. Sorry, didn't take any photos, but it was pretty grubby before I started, and I'd only covered about 150 miles since the last wash. Roll on springtime - warmer weather and no salt deposits to wash off the car!

Kind words, thanks  That reminds me, I need to order some more Bouncers.

Cheers SR, yep, warm water for me too today and gloves. Hoping it might stay reasonable for a while at least, working nights from tomorrow and the works carpark is underground so should help keep some muck off. Probably

I washed both cars this afternoon. It was only supposed to be a quick wash for the Passat, but you know what it's like when you get started.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I washed the loan car today and realised just what a pain the Santiago wheels are to clean. The car has just over a thousand miles on it and 3 wheels are kerbed, one of them is kerbed the whole way around and the car is covered in swirls and it still has a the glue from the transport stickers.

Shameful that a dealer thinks so little of their cars.

Don't be put off by the Santiagos - true they may not be the easiest to clean but you do build up a routine after a while and it's not so bad. Taking them off the car for a thorough clean and seal is worthwhile and doesn't take too long either.
