Project Rebirth MK2ABF
« on: 09 May 2011, 18:25 »
Been on here for quite a while now so i thought its time to start a project thread.
Ive had my MK2 for 7 years now use to belong to john williams before me, its spent best part of the time off the road since ive owned it, ive only started using it the past coulple of years in that time i ditched the tired KR lump for an abf best 200 quid ive spent. The MK2 starting to show its age now so is off the road not by choice the clutch decided to blow up that was a couple of months ago the MOT ran out a couple of weeks later so ive done the clutch and been getting it ready for MOT and get it ready for paint.
Heres some pics

Good progress :afro:

Not keen on the rear number plate location though  :undecided:

I don't think a semi will give the same results

looking good dude.

i used to rock a smooth boot, i quite like them, especially when the rear swag lines and door trim is smoothed off too.

Primer filler on just needs a wet sand

IMG_0132 by mk2abf, on Flickr

The wing needed quite a lot of work, there was a fair sized lump where the vent was put in so grinded it back and give it a skim
