What are you going to use to sand them back, i have been wondering whether a machine polisher with the right pad might be good at it.

A pad won't do it as the flex in the pad will just round off the excess paint and also take off some of the clear coat in the area.

The paint needs to be 'nibbed' and then spot sanded. These festool items are the dogs danglies for this kind of job

I'm using these:

With a few different grades of these:

Followed by a DA polish with Megs 105 and 205.

Filled a few stone chips ready for sanding back at the weekend!!

Filled with paint and then flattened off?

Yup! Had a go at them tonight but i think i need to put a little more paint in them as when the paints cured it's shrunk quite a lot so sits too low, grrrrr >:(

Need to do this with a few chips myself, gonna have to invest in a machine polisher first though...

Looks nice, but you really need to upgrade your wheels mate, them 17 make it look very standard.

I like standard! 18s would make the ride harsher too!

I have the 17's on mine and I think it suits the car. I don't like the 18" Monza's - like you say, each to their own
