Gloss black plastic and bird poo stains

Cleaned a friend’s car yesterday which was in a bad state - not cleaned for months! Unfortunately bird poo had been left on it in the baking sun for weeks. After washing and drying there is staining on th gloss black plastic trim of the bumper. I’m looking to remove this by hand so any recommendations on a compound polish / stages to take to remove it or at least lessen the visual appearance of it.
Thank you

As it sounds like the owner probably isn't going to be too fussed about a perfect finish I'd suggest claying the area and use some good old AG Super Resin Polish, this should remove some of the etching.
