Throttle body diameter

I searched but mostly found stuff about cleaning or fixing. What is the diameter of the throttle body on a GTI? Are the 8v and 16v sizes different?
I don't own a GTI so can't go out an check. I CAN tell you that a 1.4 is about 42mm though  :wink:
