I watched this review last night. It was a bit different and gave the car a blast in a few scenarios.

one thing i think they said.... start/stop was only on in eco mode?

Is that really the case? i would assume it is on all the time unless turned off, but now i am wondering if it can be customised.

This is well worth a watch, 6 performance Golfs starting with GTE against GTD up to CSS against the R. Not FL as its last October but shows what each step up gets you in performance on a track.. They didn't include the PP though..

Thought bring this to the front as its quite entertaining and much of what is said on the GTI holds even truer today and also there is a reason most of us have never gone rear wheel performance for our day to day road cars and why maybe BMW have themselves gone to FWD and AWD, and thats about 3 mins 20 seconds through this video

Great review of the Golf R vs A35 which I know is a car a few have been looking at...

Cabin and noise to the A35 but Golf edges it and he says that based what would he buy with his money.

I really like the new A Class and the cabin is superb. Two negatives for me are lack of a space saver and shape of the seats (I looked at a 250 AMG Line). With the amount of miles I do, often rural and at night, a space saver is a must (they could have at least made room for one even if not standard). I also couldn't get comfortable in the seats - it feels to me that the fixed headrest tilts forward too much.
As an aside, I didn't think much of Merc sales staff - weren't that bothered. Maybe they only show interest if you're buying an E Class.

I am driving a Golf GTI TCR now because I successfully rejected an AMG A35, build quality was awful. In fact it was the most poorly built car I have driven in 20 years.
