Why do you want em, as in wahts the issue with your gears?
The reason I ask is, if you can find gears but when in gear its very sloppy back and forth then I can make you a new bush up that can be fitted in 5 minutes for 5 whole english pounds delivered, Shady will be fitting one I sent him tomorrow so we can await his opinion on siad item

That sounds interesting. I replaced the linkage on mine but it is still sloppy. Which part do you make?

On the end of gear rod there is a 'U' bracket that a bush sits in, these bushes are sh!te and wear down and dissintegrate, this is what governs how tight your gears feel when in gear (Back to front) I replaced mine because I had about 2" back n forth travel when in gear, put my newly designed solid poly/graphite bush in and bang the travel is gone
Made Kells one when he had his 8v and just made Shady one

thanks for replies.

benvictor, gear selector is awful, first is tough to find, second theres a knack and fourth feels like its barely gone in and bounced out again. was thinking change linkage and bushes, shall definately keep in mind the bush you make.

Hope nobody minds the necro.

benvictors, are you still making those bushes? I think I need both the linkage kit and one of the bushes to get min up to scratch.

I can see when removing the gator that left-right play is purely down to the gearstick and bushings - so I'm guessing that'll be fixed with the repair kit off ebay above.

Forward-back play is another story - I can select gears ok, but to me it sounds as if the bushing on the "U" is completely gone - there's a lot of play, and a metal on metal clunking noise coming from beneath my feet at both ends of the play - I'm assuming the bush you make goes right where that play is happening!

Just for the record, the bush benvictors supplied has made a world of difference. A lot more response in selecting gears, no play back and forth. :afro:

And because I'm a noob when it comes to cars, he even let me ring him and talk me through.

Sounds almost too good to be true (going by my luck)!

I've sent him an email to see if he's still doing them - fingers crossed :D
