Is it the orange one under the seat yeh?

Mine was yellow but if there's only one plug then that should be it

I'd pop to your local dealer and order a replacement loom.  At this stage its far cheaper than forking out for a new airbag!

would you no how difficult it is to fit. the mechanic i saw today said he was going to pull the glovebox out and check the wiring to the front passenger airbag would this have anything to do with it or not?

Sorry ignore me.  I thought it was the side airbag you were on about  :embarassed:

Yeah the glovebox would have to be dropped out although if you pull the side panel from the dashboard you can see the wiring in there.  Maybe a wiggle of that might help  :undecided:

yeah that was my fault  N131 is glovebox bag, N199 and N200 are side impact bags that are effected by the under-seat plugs

I have the same code coming up:

00589 - Airbag Igniter - Passenger Side - [N131]
Short to Ground - Active/Static

I changed the airbag and hte module, code comes up.  Could it be the wire or the plug?

Just a thought...you changed the airbag and the module and the code still comes up? Did you actually clear the code after the changeover was done? I've made that mistake and it looked like the problem was still there...cleared all the codes and everything returned to normal.

As I said...just a thought.

Yes, i have the Autel MD802 tool, I tried clearing it and it comes up after I do a ignition on test, then start the car test and turn off the car and turn to ignition on and it still comes up.
