Hmmmmm, still undecided. I quite fancy a set of 18s that look visually bigger than Austins and better offset but ride better than the 19s.
For info, I only drove the car a couple of miles to take the obligatory forum photographs and settle the suspension but the 235 Conti 3's sounded louder than on the mk6 and much louder than the (admittedly brand new) Conti 2's on there before.
The ride was a bit harsher too than both of the above BUT some of that might be to do with the mk7 requiring higher air pressure than the mk6 on 19s and much higher than the mk7 on 18s according to the fuel flap.
All tyres over 40 psi is quite hard and noisy!!!
