I have had pretty good results with the turtle wax stuff, although I have yet to find a wheel cleaner to beat wonder wheels - its just arsing about with the little brush and stuff is a pain in the balls, so I tend to stick to turtle wax or Autoglym wheel cleaner.

One thing that I have found may help you all with the scrubbing.....

Everytime I wash the car I dress the tyres with Autoglym tyre dressing. If you spray the wheels as well, and then polish that stuff off, it leaves a very very thin coat of protective coating on the wheel.

On the downside, this means that your wheels will get dirtier that bit quicker,as it attracts wheel dust and general grime. However, if you wash regularly, they become very easy to do - the brake dusts sits on the coating, rather than eating into the wheel. A quick blast with a jetwash cleans 65% of the brakedust from the wheels, leaving just a wee bit of scrubbing left (curse those montreal II alloys!!)

As you can see from my signature, I have some experience in this field!!!!

Cheers, I might try that wonder wheel stuff, then the Turtle Wax.  I must resist the temptation to just hose them down with a high pressure jet spray a point blank range.

Yeah but from a resonable distance, those lovely alloys we have are clear coated and once that gets jetted off, it's hello to mr. corrosion.  Even stiff brushes in some automatic car washes can damage them.

Then you have an excuse to buy some aftermarket rims!!!

Anything easier to clean than these Montreal II's will be welcome!!!  ;D
