Cheers! I'm working away for a couple of days so won't be any more progress until later in the week.

Whatever happens I have to finish it before New Years Day to win a £10 bet!!!!

Engine not far off being completely back together, had a bit of a job getting the oil return pipe from the turbo connected back into the sump but managed it in the end..

That oil return is the biggest b!tch of the entire install innit. In the end I had to go buy a hydraulic hose of a slightly larger internal diameter and put 4 jubalie clips

I was putting a new piece of pipe in for the oil return, so fitted the top end into the turbo and left it dangling wth the intention of cutting it to length in place, ended up having to reroute it and it was only just long enough as it was...

Anyway, that's another thing off the list, not far off being ready to start for the first time since rebuilding the engine and turbo, that's gonna be a nervous turn of the key!!!!

Both doors, boot and bonnet are now ready for filler

Intercooler, cleaned, fins straightened then satin blacked

Little bit more work and the doors, boot and bonnet can go into primer

Engine all back together, oil and water in - only to find a major fuel leak from a split metal pipe under the car so can't start it for now, gutted!!!
(posted in wanted as I believe that the pipe is no longer available from VW)

The strut brace is just resting in place to check its doesn't foul on anything - it fits...

Inside was stone chipped a while back...
(It is going to be silver when the car is painted)

Bonnet is now in primer

Doors are now in primer

Only the bootlid to do, then lots of flatting down before top coats...
