Hi All,
Apologies for creating a second thread about my new pride and joy, but does anyone have any tips on how to curb my recently developed hatred of anything that marks the pure gorgeous whiteness of my new car?
This is the first white car I've had, and happens to be the best car I've ever had, and the combination of the two is starting to ruin my life ;-)
I found myself behind a lorry the other day and suddenly realised that the back of it looked particularly oily. I subsequently dropped back due to the road being too twisty to exercise the power of the new lady and was practically inconsolable when I parked up and found oil streaked all over the bonnet. A quick wash sorted that out, but I am starting to get concerned that I won't be able to work any more due to me spending my every waking moment cleaning my car.
Please someone, help!

I think I've seen the last of my local hand car wash, the thought of them using the same sponge on multiple cars suddenly fills me with dread...

Be warned; this detailing malarkey can become addictive :wink:. When you see the results of your efforts though, it's worth it.

I've had several white cars in the past, and whilst you can notice dirt on them more readily than some colours, if you stick to keeping on top of them, there shuoldn't be a problem. It's a little harder to get deep reflections on white, so you may be better off using a synthetic sealant, such as auto finesse tough coat, rather than a carnuaba wax. A sealant will last longer and tends to compliment white fairly well. Having said this, if you enjoy waxing the car like myself, there is no reason not to use a natural wax instead. One thing to avoid however is the local "euro wash" or equivalent. Not only does their wash technique scratch and mar the surface of your car, but the harsh tfr and cleaners they use will strip all you wax protection and stain your rubbers. Have fun with your new car though !
