steering rack replaced AGAIN!!!! having doubts if it was actually replaced at all in june..... but got the wheels re allighned and the bushes relaced and a full valet for my troubles!

think my sound is coming back...

wanna make sure its the same issue your having,... i usually hear it when im reversing out of my drive and im turning the steering wheel left and right to navigate out... sound about right?

yeah!! thats it.... but they didn't argue about it when i told them at vw.... they just took the car off me and replaced it!

just hoping it doesn't happen again... the whole things making me paranoid now!
think my sound is coming back...

Well as I guessed, springs and bushes/top mounts changed and rack still noisey!!!

So back to the stealers for more diagnosis, at this rate I will have a new front end before they decide to change the rack...only got 10 months till the warranty is out, so better keep on the case  :cool:

Well, new track rod ends, and another set of springs, torqued to a new procedure thats been released by VW..............noise still there  :sick:

Will not accept the rack is at fault, so goes back in December for a part by part change on the front suspension until they hit the problem....still putting my money on the rack   :wink:
