Boot lock

Quick question, changing my bootlid and was wondering if I don't change the lock straight away will the boot still lock/unlock with the central locking??

boot lock is only a few screws to move, however yes it will still work as the solenoid will just clip into place

It's been a bit if a nightmare, the new boot I got didn't have any of the central locking bits... Had to swap it all over including the wiring but still doesn't seem to work

It can take me up to 4-5 attempts to unlock my boot!! Why is this? :(

cables split at rubber boots maybe (not completely but not always making fill contact) or actuator motor siezed ( easy fix really)
